Colossians
Family Network

Colossians Family Network started in February 2008 when four families going through similar marriage and family challenges recognised a gap for a forum for couples to discuss marital and family issues freely and in a matured environment.

Ever since the forum has grown and currently hosts four events a year targeted at supporting marriages, empowering families and providing a forum for couples to network and share life experiences with other like-minded couples.
OUR VISION

OUR VISION

Our Vision is based on Colossians 3:16 to 21

It’s our conviction that:

  • Families are the essence of our society.
  • Our society needs strong communities.
  • Core family values strengthen the family unit.
  • A thriving society is built on strong communities and supported families.
  • Communities remain strong when they are made up of families which are built on the core values of love and respect.

Gabriel & Dr. Esther Olawande

Gabriel and Esther Olawande have given their lives to champion the cause of building strong and healthy marriages and raising children in an environment that enables them to thrive, flourish and achieve their full potential.

On Saturday 9 February 2008, the Olawandes with three other couples came together to discuss different aspects of marriage and lessons learnt –there was no counselling, no airing of dirty linen in public, no group therapy – and it seemed to work! Since then, many marriages and families have been blessed by the ministry.

Vocationally, Gabriel is an Economist and currently works with a global consulting firm. Esther has a PhD in Social Work and works as an Independent Research Consultant for government establishments. Gabriel and Esther have been married for 24 years and they live with their children in Kent, England.
